What Are The Yasalam After-Race Concerts?

Since the inaugural race in 2009, live music has played an integral role at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Etihad Park becomes the central hub of the race weekend entertainment, hosting four Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Concerts, one for each night of racing. 

The Thursday-Sunday concerts are held every year, and you can attend them all on your Abu Dhabi Grand Prix holiday. 

Attracting the biggest musical talents in the world, from Eminem to Foo Fighters and Beyoncé to Coldplay, they're the perfect way to carry the race day atmosphere and energy late into the evening.

Usually, the biggest and most popular concerts are on Saturday after qualifying and on Sunday after the Grand Prix, as these tend to feature the biggest headliners.

And Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix concert is particularly iconic, as it marks the Formula 1 finale and is the most popular of the four.

When are Remaining Acts Confirmed?

Friday, Saturday and Sunday have no confirmed acts currently, but we expect to hear some official news soon.

Usually, the Friday headliner is announced by the summer, and the Saturday and Sunday headliners a little later on.

Where Are The Concerts Held?

All Yasalam After-Race Concerts take place at Etihad Park, the Middle East’s largest open-air entertainment venue, located on Yas Island across from the Yas Marina Circuit.

Just a short walk from the North Grandstand (the closest grandstand to Etihad Park), the transition from world-class racing to superstars on stage is seamless. As the circuit lights begin to dim, the flow of racegoers moves naturally towards Etihad Park, keeping the energy high long after the podium celebrations conclude.

With a capacity of around 40,000, the venue is purpose-built for putting on incredible events for major international artists. The layout is an open-air all-standing arena that faces the main stage, with large screens so you get a brilliant view of the acts on stage wherever you choose to stand. There are no tiered seats or complicated zones for general admission, just a festival-style format that places you directly in the mix.

How Do Concert Tickets Work?

Access to the Yasalam After-Race Concerts is included with your official Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket, meaning there is no separate concert purchase required. Your race weekend pass unlocks both the on-track drama and the evening headline acts and is included with all our Abu Dhabi Grand Prix experiences.

Entry operates on a first-come, first-served basis within your ticket category. Once gates open at Etihad Park, spaces fill up fast, so arriving early is key if you want to position yourself close to the stage.

The process itself is straightforward. After the day’s racing concludes at Yas Marina Circuit, you’ll make your way to Etihad Park, where your race credential is scanned for concert access. Expect security checks similar to any major live event.

All tickets are managed via the official Abu Dhabi Grand Prix app, which acts as your digital access point for the weekend. It's worth downloading and registering ahead of arrival to avoid delays. Can You Upgrade Your Concert Experience?

Yes! While general admission places you right in the heart of the atmosphere at Etihad Park, there are ways to elevate your evening even further.

The most sought-after VIP concert upgrade is Golden Circle access, positioning you at the very front of the stage. This exclusive zone offers the closest views of the headline artists, fast-track entry and dedicated beverage points, not to mention an even more immersive experience! If you'd like to be at the very front of the crowd, this is the upgrade for you.

Tips For Getting The Best After Race Experience

A little planning goes a long way once the engines fall silent.

Arrive early, especially for the biggest headliners. The final night of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix attracts the biggest crowds, so heading over to Etihad Park promptly gives you the best chance of securing a prime position.

That said, do not miss the podium ceremony at Yas Marina Circuit. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and not something you should sacrifice. Stay for the celebrations, take in the fireworks and the party atmosphere, then move the party to Etihad Park.

From the North Grandstand, you can reach the venue on foot within minutes of leaving your seat. If you're watching from our Platinum Hospitality Suite, you can either walk, which takes about 30 to 40 minutes, or take the free shuttle bus to the North Grandstand before continuing on foot to the concert.

If you do not head straight over, it is usually not an issue, provided you are happy to watch from further back. However, the venue does fill up, and late arrivals have missed out due to the first-come, first-served policy.

Comfort matters more than you might think. The concerts are standing, so wear supportive footwear. Evenings remain warm, though coastal breezes can pick up later on, so light layers are sensible. Above all, hydrate throughout the day. Abu Dhabi heat, a full race programme and a headline concert make for a long but memorable day.
