Through all five of the test matches, Stuart Broad played superbly, finishing with 22 wickets and showing the fire and determination that he became so famous for. For Broad, it was the poetic ending he deserved as a 17 year career came to an end, claiming the final wicket for England and drawing the series.

Not only did Broad bring back the kind of cricket that we all love to watch, but Ben Stokes is heading into 2025 full of vigour, remaining as the team’s test captain and vowing to keep entertaining crowds and winning test matches with Bazball.

A special mention must go to Zak Crawley for his performance in this series. Coming in under scrutiny from the press and public on his place in the team, Crawley struck an incredible 480 runs at an average of 53 to firmly cement his place at the top of England’s order.

When is the Next Ashes Series?
