Yas Marina Circuit Track Guide

It’s difficult to find a more ideal venue for a Grand Prix than Yas Island, on the eastern side of the emirate close to Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The second Formula 1 track in the Middle East after Bahrain International Circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke, and made its debut in 2009. That year, Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel battled it out over 5.28km to take the podium, but the most successful driver of the circuit is officially Lewis Hamilton, with five wins.

The track features tight turns and a 1.2km straight– which offers plenty of options for overtaking manoeuvres. With heart-stopping sharp corners and one of the longest straights on the F1 calendar, you can expect 58 laps of pure entertainment. Read on to find out which one of our Abu Dhabi Grand Prix holiday packages suits you best.

What makes the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Unique?

Located in the hub of the action on Abu Dhabi's man-made Yas Island, the track has an abundance of unique details. One of the most impressive facts is that it cost around $1bn USD to construct, making it the most expensive F1 circuit ever.

There's even a five-star hotel in the middle! The iconic W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island is the first hotel built over a Formula 1 circuit. Unsurprisingly it's often in huge demand, especially on Grand Prix weekend. Stay here for fantastic Yas Marina and circuit views.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is unique as it has been the final race of the F1 season for most of the last decade, so you'll have the chance to watch history being made as a world champion is crowned.

You'll be positioned right above the pit lane, watching in awe as teams rush around below prepping the cars. With a direct view of the start and finish line and just metres from every single pit stop, this is one of the best F1 experiences.

The weather in Abu Dhabi during November is very warm and sunny, with an average temperature of 25°C during the Grand Prix. When it comes to the F1 paddock club dress code, you'll mostly be in air-conditioned surroundings and smart casual dress is recommended.

Sit back and sip on the finest Champagne and make the most of luxurious hospitality throughout the day. Following the full-throttle evening race, we'll arrange access to the exclusive Amber Lounge Grand Prix afterparty.

The Post-Race Abu Dhabi F1 Concerts

One of the best parts of your Spectate package is that entrance to each Abu Dhabi Grand Prix After-Race concert is included.

Ever since the first Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2009, concerts have been held at Etihad Park, formerly du Arena. Just a ten-minute walk away from Yas Marina Circuit between the North Grandstand and Ferrari World, it's the region’s largest open-air event facility.

The world’s top music stars have performed here, including Paul McCartney, Kings of Leon, Jay-Z and Beyoncé. There are four headliners for each Abu Dhabi Grand Prix After-Race Concert – one every night from Thursday to Sunday.  Last year, Ava Max, Tiesto, Shania Twain, Chris Brown and Foo Fighters all took to the stage.

This year, you can look forward to another impressive line-up. We're especially excited to see Muse take the stage, as the first headliner to be announced for 2024!
