Mexico Grand Prix 2024 holiday packages

Mexico City will be hosting the 20th race in the Formula 1 calendar, and you can join us to watch the Mexican Grand Prix in style.

Elevated high above sea level (2km higher), the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez race circuit offers spectacular drama for the F1. Originally, the track was designed by Oscar Fernandez in 1953, and has been holding F1 races since 1962.

Today, the racetrack remains almost the same with just some minor changes. Although the elevation is still high making the race seemingly breathless, the biggest difference is the Peralta corner. Now, the circuit winds through the old Foro Sol baseball stadium and offering unique views of sweeping landscapes, some of the best in the F1 races that aren’t to be missed!

The track runs through The Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City, an Olympic Park that is located on the east side of Mexico City. From here, you’re in the perfect place to venture from the track and immerse in the vibrant cultures of Mexico.

Day 1 | 23 October

Depart the UK on your flight to Mexico City

Day 2 | 24 October

On arrival in Mexico City this morning, you will be transferred by private car to Hotel Barcelo Mexico Reforma for immediate check in. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the vibrant city or relaxing by the pool.

Day 3 | 25 October

Take your private transfer to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the first day of the Mexico City Grand Prix

Day 4 | 26 October

Take your private transfer to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the qualifying races of the Mexico City Grand Prix

Day 5 | 27 October

Take your private transfer to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the final race of the Mexico City Grand Prix

Day 6 | 28 October

This morning, you will be collected for a private tour. Stop at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, and the Shrine de Guadalupe. Experience the archaeological site of Teotihuacan – one of the most impressive cities of the ancient world, held sacred by the Aztec people. You will get the chance to explore its temples, palaces, and pyramids.

Day 7 | 29 October

After a leisurely breakfast, you will be collected and transferred to Mexico City Airport for your flight to Merida. On arrival in Merida, you will take your private transfer to Hotel Casa Lecanda, where you can spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 8 | 30 October

Enjoy a private tour of Yaxcopoil, a restored 17th century hacienda just outside of Merida. Following this, you’ll drive to the ancient Mayan ruins of Uxmal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will explore the magnificent buildings, and have lunch at a local restaurant. En route back to Merida, you’ll stop at the beautiful turquoise cenote of Sambulá.

Day 9 | 31 October

Enjoy a day at leisure in Merida

Day 10 | 01 November

This morning, embark on a half day walking street food tour, tasting the most popular dishes of Merida. You’ll visit the local central market of Lucas de Galvez where you will be introduced to local products, tasting empanadas, polcanes and cochinita pibil tacos! Continue onto the zocalo to sample a variety of seafood, finishing your tour at the Ice Cream stand to taste traditional ice creams made of local fruits.

Day 11 | 02 November

This morning, you will be taken to experience the famous archaeological site of Chichén Itzá – one of the new 7 wonders of the world. You will get to explore the magnificent ruins set in the jungle, along side the Sacred Cenote and many other beautiful temples. From Chichén Itzá, you will head to the white sandy beaches of the Riviera Maya, where you will be dropped off at the Hotel Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique for an All Inclusive 4 night stay.

Days 12 - 14 | 03 - 05 November

Spend the next few days at your at leisure in Riviera Maya

Day 15 | 06 November

After breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to Cancun Airport for your return flight
